How do I mix it?
Dilute 2 ounces of concentrate with 14 ounces of cold water for a 10 g D-BHB drink or one ounce of concentrate with 15 ounces of cold water for a 5 g half serving D-BHB drink. Our product is a concentrate and not a shot, always dilute before use.
How long does one bottle last?
8 full servings or 16 half servings. At one full serving a day that is about 8 days, and about 16 days at one half serving a day.
Should I start with a full serving or a half?
Start with a full serving. A 10 g serving of pure bioidentical D-beta-hydroxybutyrate is the right place to begin for most people, once a day. Mix your drink and enjoy it over about 15 minutes. As your body spends more time in ketosis and moves in and out of it more easily, you may find you do not always need or want a full serving. A 5 g half serving in cold sparkling water is a lighter option that some people use as they become adapted to a lower carbohydrate lifestyle, especially in the evening or during a longer fast.
Do I need to be on a keto diet or fasting to use it?
No. Original Ketone® is bioidentical D-BHB, so it does not depend on a strict ketogenic diet or a full fast. You can use it on an ordinary day. There is a limit to what a drink can do, however, the ketone rise you get from reducing carbohydrates is considerably larger than the rise from a drink taken after a high-carb meal. Your results will track your diet.
